I wanted to experience the sauce and the cheese without anything confusing my taste buds. I will definitely go down there in your order whole pizza to bring home next time I get in the serious mood ”
“ The Philly were good. I let my kids order as I caught up with a former colleague who was dining here I wish they would have opted for cheese whiz, but it just gives me another reason to come back. These Philly cheesesteaks remind me of San Leandro's hoagie steaks and Bob's hoagie steaks from Hayward. Meaning they're really good. Everything was melted nicely and the meat was cooked perfectly. Sitting here, enjoying the food I couldn't help look at everybody else's pizzas. I'm definitely gonna come back and try pizza. The restaurant staff and the restaurant itself is laid out nicely and clean. So this will be a new spot for me in downtown Martinez. ”

The staff here are always welcoming and efficient, ensuring a great experience every time. The cheesesteaks are the best in the area, and they even offer Whiz! Super delicious. I've also tried the pizza, which is equally fantastic. I give Slice of Martinez a solid 5 stars. Oh & bonus point they are open on Sundays I'm genuinely puzzled why this place has less than a 4-star rating. It deserves much more! ”
“ Had AMAZING delivery from slice of martinex pizza. We ordered the large east coast combo and added grilled onions. Nice thin crust, flavor sauce and great ratio of toppings. The dollops of ricotta was a wonderful addition. I've never had dollops of ricotta on a pizza but it sure was a perfect topping. This pizza had such great chew and flavor that I ate way more than I should've. Was STUFFED afterwards. Cannot wait to try more pizzas from Slice of Martinez. They are a wonderfully owned local pizza joint and well worth the cost. ”
“ Saw this place a few times and wanted to check it out. Went here with my son after soccer practice and picked up a few slices to take home. Waited less than 10 minutes for our pepperoni slices to be ready and the salted fries. I didn't want to wait til I got home to try the pizza, so as soon as our slices were ready, I grabbed a seat and took a bite. Yummm. It was a greasy slice of pizza. I'm not being facetious- it's a good slice of pizza for when you've got the craving. The fries weren't bad as well- crispy on the outside, soft inside, nicely salted. Coming back? Yes! Service was fast and friendly. Could you do a pizza dinner here? Yes for sure, but the lighting could be less "interrogation" and more welcoming. It's got that bright ass fluorescent lighting which makes the place feel colder than it should for a pizza spot. It's in downtown Martinez right on the corner, so it can't be missed and is a couple of feet away from a bar, which is perfect for late night bites after drinking. ”

I can't wait to come back to try their cheesesteaks!! They also had a few nice beers on tap which was nice to enjoy while watching TV in the dining area. ”
